The rap beef between 50 Cent and Diddy, AKA Puff Daddy, AKA Sean Combs, is a lot like Stonehenge: older than time itself, though no one really understands how it got there in the first place.
It’s no surprise, then, that 50 Cent utilized a public platform while at DJ Drama’s Quality Street Music 2 album release party to address his longtime nemesis with a new round of accusations.
“Puffy old as a motherf***a,” he said, “that motherf***a like 47. He?s getting that botox sh*t in his face.”
In reality, Diddy is only 46, but it’s true that the average Botox patient in the U.S. is between 40 and 59. Fif apparently wasn’t just making cracks about Diddy’s age, though — he got it from the source itself.
“I just went to the place to get the facials. They said, ‘You want the thing like him?’ I said, ‘No what the f**k?’ I want you to see my facial expressions. I act and sh*t. Puff don?t act. That’s why his forehead don’t move.”
At 40 years old himself, Fif isn’t exactly a young buck anymore. While the two might not be planning a Botox party together anytime soon, maybe they can enjoy a chemical peel, microdermabrasion, or juvederm treatment together, since they apparently share the same beauty spa specialists.
50 has been known to repeatedly rag on Diddy in interviews, mocking his arrest last year and claiming he’s not a real artist. He said of their beef: “I got this sh*t right where I want it.”
Then again, maybe Diddy’s got his face right where he wants it, too. It’s hard to deny that the hip-hop mogul hasn’t seemed to age much in the past 20 years. Botox treatments might not exactly earn him any street cred, but they are becoming increasingly common: the number of procedures rose 8% between 2012 and 2013, with more than 6.1 million treatments on record.
Ultimately, 50’s outburst is simply the perfect way to continue an aging saga that, like a bad soap opera, we just can’t seem to stop watching. DJ Drama seemed to enjoy it, anyway, laughing in the background on stage.
